Here we are

Some teams for the upcoming event have already been divided into armies. The remaining teams will be assigned to these armies closer to the event.

The armies so far:

Jakojärjestelmä

Sotahuuto aims to reward teams for successful recruitment. The teams that have not yet been assigned will be evenly distributed among the armies. If the size of a previously assigned team drops significantly from the estimate, the final allocations will be adjusted to compensate for such changes. Even the teams that have not yet been assigned should focus on recruiting first-timers, as first-timers will be counted as half a fighter's worth when final allocations are made. This is not to diminish the value of first-timers on the field, but rather to encourage teams to help people get involved in the sport and the event.

We have talked about the army division system when we published the armies and in another post. You can read more on historical context viitekehysvastaavamme Johnin blogipostauksestaWe will publish more material on historical context later.

French Nobility

King Charles the VII is in a difficult position. His father, King Charles VI, declared him disinherited under duress and threat. The English king and his descendants have been named as the heirs to the French crown. With the support of the Duke of Burgundy, the English have occupied large areas of France. The crownless king has managed to gather a group of powerful noble families and their soldiers behind him, with the aim of driving the English out of France. But can the kingdom truly respect a king without a crown?

The following teams will defend the interests of the French nobility:

People of France

A motley group of French peasants, proletariat, and army deserters have gathered under the banner of Joan of Arc. Driving the English out of France is the background reason for the army's formation, but in the back of many minds, there is also the question of whether the king and nobility can offer France the future that the people crave.

The following teams will march into battle in Joan of Arc's army:

Duchy of Burgundy

Power struggles within the Valois dynasty have pitted the Duchy of Burgundy, led by Philip the Good, against the French royal house. However, Philip is an ambitious and modern ruler, for whom principles and ideologies are less important than Burgundy's own position. If England's luck in the war turns, Philip may be surprisingly willing to rethink his position and find some common ground with the French.

The following teams form the core of the Burgundian army:

The war inherited from his father has significantly drained the royal coffers of child king Henry VI . However, since the Battle of Agincourt, the tide of war has been in favor of the English. Henry VI has appointed John Talbot, also known as England's Achilles, as the leader of his forces, with the goal of crushing the last remnants of French resistance.

These teams will march in the English army:
