THE FIELDS OF GLORY AWAIT!
Sotahuuto (SoHu, "War Cry") is the biggest and oldest boffering event in Finland, attended by over 600 people from Finland and worldwide combined. The participants fight in armies composed of individual teams from all over the country. The event lasts for one whole weekend over the summer, and the location of the event varies annually.
Sotahuuto ties together both historical and competitive elements, due to the fact that we keep score of the battles, and the annual framework of the battles is based on historical events. Each team is given the opportunity to score other teams' successes and victories, based on how well the team fought. The winners are announced on Sunday, and the team that is awarded the first place is additionally given the honor of receiving the legendary prize Kilpinen, a challenge cup that has been awarded to many glorious teams in the years past.
